I have written this three times every tme it won't ecept my suggestion/wish; now basically this is simple... when used as a photoshop plug in have it lable the layer with the styled to get the look obtained so the look can be dupplicated in the futre by pulling up the PSD file and looking to see whihc stles were used

Layer labled

This may be something useful, but you already have multiple ways to recreate an old effect. First of all, and it is the preferred way, save your layer/style setup as a new style and it will be always there to be applied to a new image. If you forgot to do that, then there is the User/History folder in the style browser, you can also reapply these styles to a new image. The history is of limited length (I think it is something like 50 styles), so sooner or later you should think about saving the styles that you create. Compared to your proposed PSD approach it has the obvious advantage of being able to apply the custom style with a single click instead of painfully reapplying all the filters in all the layers that you see in the PSD file.
